Dyche eyes exciting 23 y/o amid FFP concerns

Football FanCast has gathered some of the latest transfer rumours concerning the potential incomings and outgoings we could see at Everton this winter.

Amid the Toffees’ ten-point deduction earlier this season, points are even more of a premium, but with financial constraints understandably tight, it remains to be seen how Sean Dyche aims to bolster his ranks in the January transfer window.

Iliman Ndiaye – Marseille: According to journalist Alan Nixon (via Goodison News), the Toffees would be keen to explore a deal to bring in the Senegalese forward if Arnaut Danjuma is to leave this month.

The 23-year-old was heavily linked with a potential move to Goodison Park in the summer before he left Sheffield United for the Ligue 1 outfit.

But his move back to the country where he was born has not exactly been what he may have hoped, with a total of just 877 minutes coming in the French top flight.

It is included in the report that Marseille are in need of reducing their wage bill this month, but the Toffees would also need to offload players before bringing anyone new in.

Frank Onyeka – Brentford: According to The Guardian, Everton are one of the clubs who are believed to be keen on bringing in Frank Onyeka from Brentford this month.

Alongside the Toffees, the report claims Fulham are also keen on the Nigerian who is currently away on international duty in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Although it is believed the London club value Onyeka at around £20m, a loan deal is the more realistic option this month as the midfielder struggles to pick up regular minutes from the starting XI.

Arnaut Danjuma: Sean Dyche has played down the reports of the Dutch winger potentially leaving for Lyon this month after the player’s Instagram post.

The winger posted a photo of himself on a private jet which added further fuel to the fire surrounding his future at Goodison Park over the last few days.

Adding to this, his agent has told talkSPORT that his client has been in talks with the Ligue 1 outfit over a potential switch to the France.

However, speaking prior to the clash against Aston Villa, Dyche said: “The situation is very simple, he’s an Everton player, that’s it.”

“I had a word with him and I said, ‘It seems excessive to go from Manchester Airport to Liverpool Airport for training.

“But you know, these modern players… personally I’d use a car, but the modern players, they need to look after themselves, get their rest.”
